Analysis
#265 CHICAGO (+) over Seattle at 8:15 PM EST Off back-to-back SU and ATS wins over Atlanta and New England and with a few extra days to prepare, Chicago will stroll right into Seattle and pull off the upset over the defending Super Bowl Champions. Seattle enters this NFC showdown off an impressive 20-3 home win and cover over Kansas City and this is going to be a challenging spot for head coach Mike Macdonald and his men. Holding a respectable 17-7 SU and ATS record in its last 24 games, Chicago has been one of the NFL's best lately. In this run competitively priced as an underdog or a short favorite of -3 or less, the Bears improve to a lucrative 13-5 SU and 14-4 ATS. Additionally, the Monsters of the Midway have played well in true road games inking a solid 8-5 SU and ATS mark in their last 13 tries including a tremendous 7-3 SU and ATS provided they slide in off a non-division game. Finally, head coach Ben Johnson and his boys hold a reliable 19-12 SU and 20-11 ATS tally in their last 31 under the Monday night lights including a noteworthy 11-6 SU and 13-4 ATS provided they are rolling on the road. Historically, the 'Hawks have struggled a touch in this series inking a soft 6-9 ATS record in the last 15 meetings. To make matters worse, dating back to October 19th, 2009, Monday night home favorites priced short at -3.5 or less own a rough 27-43-3 ATS mark including a miserable 5-15 SU and 4-16 ATS provided their opponent checks in with confidence off a SU and ATS win. With those two parameters live and our "play against" host tackling a foe that arrives off a non-division game, this angle falls to a nasty 2-12 SU and 1-13 ATS including a horrendous 1-11 SU and 0-12 ATS if their opponent carries a team won/loss percentage of .500 or better. That spells trouble for the Seahawks. If Coach Johnson and the Bears truly want to be Super Bowl contenders, they'll need to go on the road and make a statement by knocking off the defending champs. Take Chicago. Thanks, and best of luck, Tom.
