- My selection is on Howard plus the points over Yale at 7 pm et on Monday.
We'll grab the points with Howard as it looks to avenge an overtime loss suffered at the hands of Yale last February. The Bulldogs lead the all-time series - in fact they've taken all five previous meetings although two of the last three needed overtime to decide. Yale should be strong once again this year but does deal with some turnover as it looks to build off a 24-6 season. Howard is the projected MEAC winner once again as it returns 11 players from the team that went 24-11 last season, culminating with a 'First Four' victory over UMBC before falling to Michigan in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. There's a good mix of youth and experience and I don't expect the Bison to back down in this tough season-opening matchup. Yale always seems to attract attention from bettors but I think they're being asked to pay a tariff as a result. Take Howard (8*).
