Analysis: *3 Star Play Under* Northern Illinois has a new coach in Matt Majkrzak. He is preaching player movement and physical defense. He has specifically said that he doesn't want his team playing in transition often. Rather, he wants them to set up an offense and run halfcourt sets. Northern Illinois won 79-66 over a good Toledo offense in an exhibition last week. They showed their defense and ability to slow down the game against a faster paced team in that one. Grambling State isn't efficient on offense. They struggle to get good looks and unless they are getting to the line a bunch their efficiency numbers are often low. This is a 3 am eastern tipoff on Monday morning in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Neither team is very close to home and next to no one will be in the stands. Early season neutral site unders have been good and this being the tipoff marathon in the middle of the night points it more toward an under in my opinion. Take the under.
