Analysis: I like the Twins tol beat the Angels on Friday. Minnesota will have the better pitching matchup going into the game. Connor Prielipp will be starting for the Twins. He has a record of 5-7 and 5.24 ERA this season. However, he has been pitching pretty well of late. Holding the opposing team to 3 runs or fewer in his past 4 starts and has a 3.66 ERA over those games. The Angels have not done too well against left hand pitchers this year. They are 16-30 against them. Grayson Rodriguez will be starting for the Angels. He is coming into this game with a record of 4-7 and a 6.10 ERA with a WHIP of 1.56. So the Twins should have an easy time driving the ball early and can attack the Angels bullpen who have struggled all year to hold on to leads. Minnesota has also done well against the Angels this season as well. Taking 2 out of 3 games when the 2 teams played at the Target Field earlier this year. The Angels have been struggling against teams from the AL Central. Going 7-20 against them, whereas the Twins are 14-10 against the AL West. Since Prielipp has been pitching well of late and Rodriguez can't seem to keep baserunners and runs off the board I will give the edge to Minnesota on Friday. Jim’s Play: 919. Twins
