Miami has looked unstoppable through its first two games, scoring a whopping 122 points in blowout wins over Stanford and Florida A&M. It will face a tougher test on Friday as it hits the road to take on a 2-0 Wake Forest team. Of course, the Hurricanes are still installed as three-touchdown favorites so this is another game where they should be able to control proceedings. I'm not convinced we'll see them enjoy the same level of offensive success we've seen to this point, however. Wake Forest gave up a touchdown to Purdue just over four minutes into Saturday's eventual wild 38-36 multi-overtime win. From there it held the Boilermakers out of the end zone until the final four minutes of the fourth quarter. That final total was ultimately buoyed by 28 overtime points. I haven't been overly impressed by the Demon Deacons offense through two games. After they scored their second touchdown of the game with 3:55 left in the first half at Purdue they didn't secure another touchdown until overtime. While I do think they can move the football at times on the Canes with dual-threat Gio Lopez running the offense, scoring touchdowns will likely prove to be difficult. On the flip side, the Canes will be looking to chalk up another victory and move on. Their offense put up gawdy numbers last week but that was against an overmatched FCS opponent. They figure to encounter at least some resistance on the road against Wake Forest. Take the under (8*).
