Analysis: Atlanta is 10-4 at home this season and the Dream have won five in a row to climb into the top spot in the Eastern Conference. It is a tight race with four teams within two games as the Dream have no margin for error in the coming weeks. This is the first meeting between these teams since a one-point home loss for Atlanta in the third game of the season. The defending champion Aces are 20-9 this season but with some recent inconsistency going 3-3 in the past six games including back-to-back road losses after falling to Chicago on Saturday. High profile games with Indiana, Minnesota, and New York are up next on the schedule later this week for a critical road trip for the Aces. Las Vegas is a losing ATS team on the road this season, but the Aces have won six in a row in this series. That makes this is a huge opportunity for the Dream in a resurgent season for the franchise. Atlanta has a knack for winning close games which has made the dream a poor ATS team often playing as a substantial favorite this season but with this short spread, Atlanta’s ability to score down the stretch in the closing moments of games is the most important factor. The Dream can allow big numbers but with 92 or more points in five of the past six games, few teams can trade scores with Atlanta and the Dream have an extra day in the turnaround after winning on Thursday.
