Analysis: I know Anthony Edwards is out, but I don't care. The Minnesota Timberwolves will withstand it, and move on effectively until he returns. They desperately need to stay in the mix, as they're fourth in the Western Conference, one game in front of the Houston Rockets and two back of the L.A. Lakers. The T'Wolves have won two in a row to answer a 1-4 skid that included a 1-3 showing during a four-game road trip. But now they bring the momentum from home wins over Phoenix and Utah into a game against what could be a weary Portland Trail Blazers team. Portland has also won two straight, but this will be its fourth road game in six nights after the Blazers stopped in Philadelphia, Brooklyn and Indianapolis first. They've lost four of their last seven away from home, and still have one more road game on this trip, Sunday in Denver. Minnesota has won four straight meetings against the Trail Blazers, and nine of the last 11. The T'Wolves have also won 14 of the last 17 meetings in the Twin Cities.
