I think this is the perfect game for a Purdue letdown. Now they’re up against a team that can make shots from all over the court. Queens has a mark of 21-13 and 13-5 in the ASUN conference. They went 6-3 on the road in conference dropping games at West Georgia, Bellarmine and Central Arkansas. They dropped games in the non-conference by margin against Villanova, Virginia, Wake Forest, Arkansas and Auburn. They come off the 98093 victory against Central Arkansas in overtime in the ASUn tournament final. Purdue is 27-8 along with 13-7 in the Big Ten. The Boilermakers went 7-3 on the roadin conference losing against Ohio St, Indiana and UCLA. They were beaten in the non-conference at home against Iowa St. Purdue comes off the 80-72 victory against Michigan in the Big Ten title game on Sunday. They played four games in four days. I love that Queens has six players that average double figures. Queens is 15th in effective field goal shooting in the nation as they secured the basketball and hit 36% from three, 59% inside and 75% at the line. They had issues defensively. Purdue is 232nd in the nation in effective field goal defense as they don’t force turnovers and allowed 34.2% from three and 53.1% around the hole. They don’t get to the free throw line offensively. Purdue has missed the cover in six of eight with spots of poor defense. Queens in the last month shot 48.1% with 36.1% from three and allowed 29% from beyond the arc.
