Analysis: My selection is on the 'over' between Golden State and Detroit at 7:40 pm et on Friday. We won with the 'under' in the Pistons rout of the lowly Wizards in Washington last night. I won't tempt fate again here and instead back the 'over' as Detroit returns home on no rest to host Golden State on Friday. I think we'll see the Warriors come out as the aggressors in this one as they were idle yesterday after a blowout loss in Boston on Wednesday. While the Wizards didn't show any sort of moxie against Detroit last night, I think playoff-hungry Golden State will in this one. The Pistons are of course without Cade Cunningham for at least the next couple of weeks and potentially longer as he recovers from a collapsed lung. As we saw last night, this team can still ball out and it enters this game with a full head of steam having knocked down 48, 48, 50, 41, 46 and 44 field goals over its last six contests. I don't consider the Warriors to be a good defensive team even if they are able to slow the pace at times. This isn't a spot where I expect them to employ that type of strategy, instead I look for them to force the Pistons hand in a back-to-back situation. The previous meeting between these two teams this season totalled 255 points. That game is long forgotten by most bettors as it took place back in late January. Take the over (8*).
