Analysis: Utah State is coming into this game with a 28-6 record this season and they are 15-5 in their conference. They are coming off of a 73-62 win against San Diego State which won them the MWC Tournament and they were also the most dominant team in the conference all season. They had a little down stretch toward the end of the season after winning 8 straight games, but they have been playing much better now as they have won their last 4 straight as well as 5 of their last 6 games. They are going up against a Villanova team that is 24-8 this season and they are 15-5 in their conference. They were one of the better teams in their conference all season, but they are nowhere near the top 2 teams in their conference and the rest of the conference has not been that great this year either. They have not been playing that well recently either, losing 2 of their last 4 games as well as 3 of their last 6 games, and they are coming off of a 78-64 loss to Georgetown in their last game, not even making it past their 1st game of the Big East Tournament. Villanova has had a good 3 point game this season, but their offense has not been very consistent recently and they have also struggled from the field as well. Utah State has been shooting well from the field this season as well as having a steady 3 point game, and their defense has also been much better which will be the difference in this game. Utah State will cover the spread in this game.
