Yesterday’s Results for Philadelphia 76ers vs Los Angeles Clippers

Analysis: The Clippers are playing as well as any team in the NBA inching closer to .500 on the season with a 17-4 run since mid-December. Los Angeles bounced back from a loss with a convincing win in Phoenix last night, with four starters playing at least 30 minutes. After three straight road games and six of the past eight on the road, this home date could provide a flat spot with two games on a home stand early this week before heading back on the road before the All Star Break. Philadelphia won 110-108 hosting the Clippers in November and the 76ers have moved into the top six in the Eastern Conference with three straight wins. Philadelphia is 12-8 S/U in road games this season and in comparing these teams, the 76ers have had more success against quality teams than the Clippers have. Close games are the norm for the 76ers as Philadelphia has been a very appealing underdog this season. Since December 30, Philadelphia is 11-7 with four of those defeats in one-possession final scores, including two one-point overtime losses. Philadelphia is 5-2 S/U in its past seven road games and Joel Embiid is expected to play tonight even with an ankle injury with Philadelphia 17-11 in his games this season, including 5-1 in his last six. James Harden didn’t play Sunday and is a question mark tonight for the Clippers as this is looking like a difficult scheduling set-up for Los Angeles to add to its recent momentum.
