Still, that makes five straight wins for the Jayhawks, two against ranked teams and two on the road. Kansas has 80 or more points in four of those five wins as well. As for Texas Tech, they couldn’t quite keep pace with a sneaky good Central Florida team on Saturday. The Raiders were outscored in the paint 48-36 and out-rebounded 34-22 while coughing up 13 turnovers and giving up 49.2 percent shooting on defense. Kansas offers value catching points in this matchup. The Jayhawks are playing disciplined, efficient basketball and have proven they can win on the road. With their defensive consistency and current form, Kansas should be able to keep this game within a possession or two throughout. This sets up as a physical, high-intensity Big 12 battle. Kansas has been red hot, showing balance, scoring depth, and defensive toughness during its recent surge. A key storyline will be Darryn Peterson’s conditioning and how heavy his workload is after dealing with cramps in the BYU game. If not for that, we may have upgraded the pick to a higher level.
