- This spread is fishy low to me, which tells me Vegas is saying Georgia Southern is overall the better team here. Geo Souther is 3-2 in their last 5 games which includes a 17 point victory last week against Georgia St. They have played a much harder non-conference schedule also which will help them here and for the rest of their season. They opened in California against Fresno / USC and beat Jacksonville St who is in 1st place in Conference USA. Arkansas St rushes for a full half yard less than GSU does and their QB Jaylen Raynor (9TDS) isn't as good as GSU's JC French IV. French in 2 seasons has over 4000 yards passing and a +12 TD to pick ratio, not to mention he leads the team in rushing TD's. This play boils down to me trusting French and the GSU rushing game more than Arkansas St.
