- The total in this game was at 56.5 earlier this week. Imagine my delight when I saw the number come down, as I think this one is going into the 60s.
I mean, let's be real, there are very few games in Lubbock with that low of a total, am I right?

Think about it, over its last 24 games at home, Texas Tech has only had a lower total one time, and that was with a listed total of 56. The Red Raiders and Baylor went on to score 94 points.
And in those 24 games, the average final tally was 61.7 points per game.
We all know the Oklahoma State Cowboys have had problems, and that's why Mike Gundy was fired. Just twice in seven games have they scored more than 17 points - both times landing on 27.
Their scoring defense, however, allows 38.4 points per contest - fifth most nationally.
As long as Texas Tech does its part with that high-octane offense, I can't imagine this one flirting with the number longer than the third quarter. It'll eventually creep into the 60s. The Raiders average 43.9 points per game, so I expect them to score at least 41 points. That means we need 13 from the Pokes.
Oklahoma State is scoring 16.6 points per game, and 18.5 in conference play, so there ya go.
