- It's hard to quantify a hungry Wyoming Cowboys team in desperation mode, playing in Laramie, and hosting a beleaguered rival. Let's just say the value is tremendous, and I'll lay the points in this situation every time. Ask any Mountain West media member, and they'll tell you this trip is brutal.

Advantage Wyoming, which is 3-4 this season, three games shy of being bowl eligible, and with five games left on the slate. Two of the games are major asks, as I don't know if the Cowboys can win the back-to-back road games at San Diego State and at Fresno State.
Their other three games are today at home against the Colorado State Rams, and in late November at home vs. Nevada and then in Honolulu. Nothing really matters without a win today.
The Cowboys are an underrated, tough group, especially at home. They're 2-2 in Laramie, but those losses were against Utah and UNLV, two teams with postseason aspirations.
Colorado State arrives after losing last weekend, 31-19, as a road favorite at Hawaii. I haven't been impressed one bit by the Rams, and don't see how they survive the trip to and from Honolulu, back home to Ft. Collins, and now to rowdy Laramie.
The Rams are inefficient on both sides of the ball, and it's resulted in them ranking 118th nationally in time of possession (27:26).
The home team has covered six straight in this series, and in a tough spot for the Rams, I like the Cowboys to make it seven straight for the hosts.
