After consecutive double overtime games and wins for the defending champs, I believe that Mark Daigneault will have the Thunder more mentally and physically prepared for the teams third game of the season. Last year, they owned the best record ATS in the NBA at 64-38-4 on the campaign. 0-2 so far this season, I'm expecting their first cover.
On the other hand, Atlanta's already dealing with some knocks as Porzingis wasn't able to suit up last night. The Hawks will be playing today's game with the rest disadvantage having played yesterday and OKC resting up. Last year in this situation, Atlanta was only 7-12 ATS.
All in all, even if Porzingis can suit up tonight, the Hawks will most likely be trailing for most of the game. OKC is simply way too strong and should be able to win this one by double digits without much trouble on Saturday evening.
Burns' Prediction: 124-107 Thunder.
