- Big 12 clash between Iowa State (5-2) and undefeated BYU (7-0) has the potential to be a massive upsets in the conference. We’ll learn more about their team than we have to this point if they can keep their cool in a hostile environment. The situational factors also point toward Iowa State. Coming off a bye week, they will have an extra day of rest, recovery, and preparation to face an unbeaten team.
The Cyclones were installed as slight favorites, which is significant considering BYU is a top-15 team that just kept rolling with a 44-10 win at Air Force. At home, with additional time to prepare and the desire to knock off an unbeaten team, Iowa State is in a strong position to cover the spread - and keep rolling in their quest to reach the conference title game. The number is tight, and with a few turnovers or early stops, this game could easily get away from BYU.
