Analysis: (#142) Pittsburgh Panthers | ATS | . Even though NC State has been pretty solid this season, I'm still not buying the hype around QB CJ Bailey. He can be very careless with the football at times and doesn't use his legs nearly enough for how athletic he is at his height. Notre Dame completely neutralized him and the rest of the Wolfpack in their last game and that left a bitter taste in NC State's mouth going into the bye. Looking at Pitt, it's looking like one of the best teams in the country right now, off three consecutive wins. The Panthers dismantled Syracuse on the road last weekend and definitely could be perfect this season if not for an ultimate second half meltdown vs. Louisville and an OT road loss against WVU. That being said, I'm very high on the Panthers through the remainder of the season and with the way the defense played last week, the sky is the limit. Yes, the bye week might help the Wolfpack with a much needed rest. But, the quality simply isn't there at the moment and Pittsburgh's great when playing at home. I believe that the Panthers will win this one by double digits with the poor Wolfpack defense on the other side of the ball. Burns' Prediction: 38-21 Pittsburgh.
