Texas A&M is coming into this game with a 7-0 record this season as well as a 4-0 conference record and they are now the only undefeated team left in the SEC which puts a big target on their back. Their offense has been great this season with 31+ points scored in 6 of their 7 games, but their defense has not been very good. They are coming off of a 45-42 win on the road against Arkansas in a game where they could not pull away and they also allowed 40 points in their win against Notre Dame earlier this season. They have had a great start to the year, but they have also played against some of the worst teams in the SEC with wins coming against Arkansas, Mississippi State, Auburn, and Florida. They have also played much better at home this season as they have only played in 2 road games this year and both were very bad games for them defensively, beating Notre Dame 41-40 and Arkansas 45-42. They are going up against an LSU team that is 5-2 this season and they are 2-2 in the conference, but they can still make a run at the SEC. They have lost 2 of their last 3 games, losing 24-19 on the road against Ole Miss and coming off of a 31-24 loss on the road against Vanderbilt in their last game, but neither of those are bad losses and they can still run the table. It starts with this game though as they desperately need this win over the number 3 team in the country and they are going to get up for this game to be the team that gives Texas A&M their 1st loss of the season. LSU has been much better at home this year and Nussmeier is going to have a much better game throwing against this Texas A&M defense. LSU will also be able to run the ball on this defense, and this is going to be the best defense that Texas A&M has run into all year. LSU will cover the spread in this game.
