- Missouri is coming into this game with a 6-1 record this season and they are 2-1 in the conference. They were on fire to start the season with one of the better offenses in the country, but they have struggled a lot more against SEC opponents. Their defense also had some holes in those early games and they have been exposed in their last 2 games. They have struggled since starting the SEC schedule, losing at home to Alabama 27-24 in a game that was not as close as the score shows, and they are coming off of a 23-17 win on the road against Auburn who has been one of the worst teams in the conference. They needed OT to beat Auburn as well and that was actually their 1st road game of the season. Now they are playing their 2nd straight road game of the season and they are playing a much better team that will be able to expose them as well. They are going up against a Vanderbilt team that is 6-1 this season and they are also 2-1 in the conference. Their 1 loss this season also came against Alabama 30-14 on the road, but that was actually a much closer game than the score shows. They did bounce back in their last game with a 31-24 win at home against LSU and this is another game that is going to be a good matchup for them. Missouri's defense was not tested early on, but they have struggled to stop the run in their last 2 games against Alabama and Auburn. Vanderbilt has a very good run game that is going to run all over this Missouri defense, and they also have a very good QB in Pavia who can attack them through the air as well. Missouri had one of the better offenses to start the season as well, but they have struggled to run the ball in their last 2 games which led to their offense struggling as a whole, and Vanderbilt has a very good run defense that will be able to shut down Hardy and force Pribula to beat them with his arm. Vanderbilt will cover the spread in this game.
