- Auburn is coming into this game with a 3-4 record this season and they are 0-4 in the conference. They have played in some very close games recently as they have a very good defense, but their offense has been awful as they find new ways to lose games. They are coming off of a 23-17 loss at home against Missouri in their last game and that was their change to finally get a win in the SEC, but they gave the game away at the end. Their offense has been awful as Jackson Arnold has not played well this year, and they have struggled a lot more against SEC defenses. They have not scored more than 17 points in each of their last 4 games and they have scored just 10 points or less in 2 of their last 3 games as well. They are going up against an Arkansas team that is 2-5 this season and they are 0-3 in the conference, but they have a chance to win their 1st SEC game of the season here at home. Arkansas has lost their last 5 straight games, but they have been very close in a few of them and they have shown a lot of fight. Their defense has been awful all season and it has prevented them from staying competitive in games, but they were down big in their last 2 games and never quit, losing both games by 3 points in the end. The team has played much better since firing Pittman and this is a game where their defense is going to have a chance to get stops against that awful Auburn offense. Arkansas is also in a much better position here as Auburn is on the verge of firing Hugh Freeze and starting all over again while Arkansas has already fired their head coach and their interim Bobby Petrino is coaching this team like the job is his already. Arkansas has come very close to a win in recent weeks, but this is the game they finally get one in the SEC. Arkansas will cover the spread in this game.
