- 2 Unit Play. Take #186 Iowa State Cyclones over BYU Cougars (3:30p.m., Wednesday, October 22 FOX) BYU remained undefeated beating Utah last Saturday but I feel them in for a letdown today in Ames. Here we have an unranked team that is favored over a ranked team and that is always a trend to look at in handicapping. Iowa State got a much-needed bye week after losing two straight games. They still are talented, and this is a game they need to win to save the season. Iowa State has a strong defense and has held opponents to 21 points or less in each of their 5 victories. BYU is riding high, but their talent does not equal Big 12 Champions and thus I feel they will suffer a couple of losses during the regular season starting with this game.
