- The Iowa Hawkeyes are still alive to make it to the Big 12 title game, as are the Gophers, but in conference play the Hawkeyes have a +53 point differential and Minnesota is -11. Iowa's 2 losses this season are to Iowa St and Indiana by just a total of 8 points and they have only one conference loss at Kinnick Stadium since November of 2023 (this year by 5 points to Hoosiers). Iowa won in Minneapolis by 17 last season and I expect their running attack to run all over the Gophers and wipe out any thoughts they had of shocking the Hawkeyes after surprising Nebraska last week. Iowa QB Mark Gronowski and RB Kamari Moulton combined for 240 yards rushing and 2 TD's against Penn St on Saturday. Just 2 weeks ago Minnesota had to rally at home to beat a 2-4 (now 2-5) Purdue squad who tore their defense apart with 253 yards on the ground and 2 scores. This is a perfect spot for the Iowa running game to take charge and just maul Minnesota, then have 2 weeks to prepare for a home date with the 6th ranked Oregon Ducks. IOWA 33 Minnesota 16
