Yesterday’s Results for Texas vs Mississippi State

Analysis: This Texas team is just 1-2 on the road this season and their only victory came last week in overtime 16-13 in Lexington against Kentucky. The Longhorns might be also looking ahead to Vanderbilt at home next week and then having to go to Athens and take on Georgia. I'm not impressed with this Texas offense that only beat a 2-5 UTEP team 27-10 in Austin and has yet to have a 100 yard game rusher/have 1 100 yard game receiver. This Miss St team has not won a home SEC game since November 2022, but the cowbells will be giving Arch manning all types of fits and I think the Bulldogs cover and possibly beat an overrated Texas squad. Miss St is 4-3 and beat a Arizona St team that made the college football playoffs last year. The Bulldogs also lost in OT to Tennessee and last week only lost by 2 points to Florida in The Swamp. Miss St senior QB Blake Shapen had 324 yards passing last week and had 3 TDS and o picks in that victory over the SunDevils. Mississippi State's schedule is brutal the rest of the way, so this is probably their last attempt to come up big for their fans in Starkville. This game stays close for a Bulldog and Harry cover !!!
