- Nottingham Forest is coming into this match playing in good form to start the season. They opened the season with a dominant 3-1 win at home against Brentford and they followed up with a 1-1 away draw against Crystal Palace in their last match. They played very well in that match against a Crystal Palace side with some good quality and now they are going to be back at home. They were one of the better teams in the league last season and they will be pushing to have another good start to the season. They are going up against a West Ham side that has been in awful in their matches to start the season. They opened the season with a 3-0 away loss against Sunderland and they followed that up with a very bad 5-1 loss at home to Chelsea. They even lost their midweek match in the EFL Cup against the Wolves 3-2 and their defense has been awful to start the season, allowing at least 3 goals in each of their 3 matches. West Ham has quality in their squad, but they were one of the worst teams in the league last season and they have not done much to change that squad this season. It has not been clicking for them and even though their attack has been good in these matches, Nottingham Forest has a very good defense that was much better at home last year and they are going to make it very difficult for West Ham to score here. Nottingham Forest has also had a very good attack to open up the season themselves and they will be able to find the net at home against this awful West Ham defense.
