Western Kentucky vs Indiana Prediction

The current betting odds have Indiana listed as a 44.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Indiana has looked great in their games this season with their 2-0 record overall so far. They have looked great on their home field too with their 2-0 home record this season. Meanwhile, Western Kentucky hasn't looked good in their games this season with their 0-2 record overall so far. They haven't been a good road team either with their 0-2 road record this year. Western Kentucky is not a bad team and they are usually a contender in the Conference USA, but they have a brutal schedule to start the season. They got destroyed by Nevada in their season opener 49-14 and now they are coming off a 70-20 loss to Georgia in their last one. Georgia is ranked like one of the best teams in the nation this season and so is Indiana who is also the defending National Champion. Indiana got off to a slow start in week 1, but they ended up beating up on North Texas and now they are coming off a 55-0 win over Howard last week. They did play a weaker opponent with Howard being from the FCS, but they still looked a lot better with the defense playing great and the offense able to iron out some kinks with their new QB. Western Kentucky has been known for having a really good offense and they still put up some points last week despite getting blown out by one of the best teams in the nation, but they are going to be facing another great defense here and will have trouble moving the ball all day. Their defense has also been known to be terrible and they have looked terrible again this season with the points they have given up in 2 games. Look for Indiana to continue rolling in this one as they look to get into a groove going into conference play. The best way to place a bet here is on Indiana to cover the spread in this game.

Western Kentucky Indiana Prediction:  Our NCAAF Pick for Saturday, September 19, 2026 (4:00 pm ET start time) is Indiana 63 Western Kentucky 7.

Notable Quotes

“Looking for positives coming out of this game, one thing our young men did was they kept competing. They kept straining. Obviously, it was not good a lot of times. A lot of things we have to get better at if we're going to be a good football team.” - Tyson Helton after his team’s loss against Georgia in their last game.

“Better taste in our mouth after this one. Got the shutout on defense, played a lot of people, emptied the bench, shortened the fourth quarter. We started to dominate up front, It started on offense and defensively it got to the point where they really couldn’t block us. The only issue was we couldn’t tackle their quarterback occasionally.” - Curt Cignetti after his team’s win against Howard in their last game.
