UTEP vs Texas Prediction

The current betting odds have UTEP listed as a 41.5 point underdog in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. UTEP has a 1-1 record overall this season and they haven't looked great in their games. They lost their season opener against Utah State 28-16, but they were also on the road in that one and that isn't an easy place to play. Now they are off a feel good win at home against UT Martin, beating them 42-17, and the offense looked a lot better in that one. Meanwhile, Texas also has a 1-1 record overall this season and haven't looked great in their games. They lost their season opener on the road to the defending National Champions, losing a tight 14-7 game, and they looked a lot better last week in their 38-7 win over San Jose State. As good as they looked last week at home against a weaker opponent, they still couldn't put up 40 points in that one. Arch Manning looked a lot better, but he still wasn't playing at an elite level, and the defense has been carrying a lot of the load so the offense might not feel the need to run up the score with a big lead. Texas is a 41.5 point favorite and even if the defense puts up a shutout here, it is going to be tough for this offense to clear that number with how they have looked in the first 2 games. This is also an in-state rival so UTEP is going to bring their best effort for this one. The best way to place a bet here is on UTEP to cover the spread in this game.

UTEP Texas Prediction:  Our NCAAF Pick for Saturday, September 13, 2025 (4:15 pm ET start time) is Texas 45 UTEP 7.
