Tulane vs Mississippi Prediction

The current betting odds have Ole Miss listed as a 17.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Ole Miss has looked really good in their games this season with their 11-1 record overall and their 7-1 conference record which had them right near the top of the SEC. They have looked great on their home field too with their 8-0 home record this year. Meanwhile, Tulane has looked great in their games this season with their 11-2 record overall and their 7-1 conference record which had them right at the top of the American Conference. They have been a good road team too with their 4-2 road record this year, but their only 2 losses this season did come in road games. Tulane had a great end to the regular season as they overcame a bad loss to UTSA and still managed to get to the American Conference Championship and win it all. They are off a big win over North Texas in that game and that was a great win, but they still don't have the talent to compete with Ole Miss. Ole Miss wasn't able to get to the SEC Championship due to their 1 loss which came against Georgia, but they had a great year and ended it with a big road win over Mississippi State. They did lose their head coach to the LSU job and won't have him for this game, but Tulane also lost their head coach too. Sumrall is still coaching Tulane in this one, but he is going to have distractions with his new job, and these two already played each other earlier this season which didn't go well for Tulane. Ole Miss won at home 45-10 and even though Tulane has improved a lot since that game, so has Ole Miss so they aren't going to be able to close that gap with the talent they have. The best way to place a bet here is on Ole Miss to cover the spread in this game.

Tulane Mississippi Prediction:  Our NCAAF Pick for Saturday, December 20, 2025 (3:30 pm ET start time) is Ole Miss 42 Tulane 17.

Notable Quotes

“Just excited for these guys and selfishly grateful I get to work two jobs a little bit longer. I’m just cherishing every moment and trying to make sure I appreciate every interaction and every play.” - Jon Sumrall after his team’s win against the UNT in the American Conference Championship.

“It’s an unbelievable job by these players. We only returned two starters from last year, so, for these guys to overcome adversity throughout the year, play really well — they played a great second half today. I’m just happy for our fans, for our players. All the stuff they dealt with all week from outside people saying they were distracted, there was noise. This is what these guys do. They’ve been doing it for a long time. I think it actually brings them together and they play (well) because of all the stuff outside.” - Lane Kiffin after Ole Miss beat Mississippi State in their regular season finale.
