TCU vs Arizona Prediction

The current betting odds have Arizona listed as a 9.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Arizona has looked good in their games this season with their 6-2 record overall and their 3-2 conference record which has them in the top half of the Big 12. They have looked great on their home field too with their 4-0 home record this season. Meanwhile, TCU hasn't looked great in their games this season with their 4-4 record overall and their 2-3 conference record which has them in the bottom half of the Big 12. They haven't been a great road team either with their 1-1 road record this year. TCU is coming off a 22-16 win over Kansas in their last one, but they beat up on a bad team in the conference and they have been really up and down all season. Their defense has looked really good at times, but their offense has looked terrible all season and even in the games that they have won this year, they have been doing with defense since their offense has trouble moving the ball. That defense is going to be clinging to life on the road here though. Arizona has been rolling this season and they have looked like one of the best teams in the Big 12 at times. They are coming off a 34-26 loss to Texas Tech in their last one, but they were leading for a lot of that game and will be looking to bounce back in a big way at home after letting that lead slip away on the road. That isn't a bad loss either since Texas Tech did win the Big 12 last season and their only other loss this year was on the road against BYU, both of their losses coming in road games against 2 of the best teams in the Big 12. Arizona has a great offense that is going to put up points at home here and TCU just doesn't have the offensive talent to keep up. Look for Arizona to bounce back at home and take out their frustrations on a TCU team that has been up and down all year. The best way to place a bet here is on Arizona to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

“We’re going to have to play better offensively, but I was really proud of the offense for driving down at the end of the game. We’ve had four opportunities this year to go either win or tie a football game, and at the end, we haven’t been able to get it done. To their credit, we got it done tonight.” - Sonny Dykes after his team’s win against Kansas in their last game.

“We knew coming down here it was going to be a big-time battle. There’s a lot of really great moments in that game. There are a lot of things that we need to fix. Noah Fafita, what a warrior. Goodness gracious. He’s such a special kid.” - Brent Brennan after his team’s loss against Texas Tech in their last game.
