Nevada vs Penn State Prediction

The current betting odds have Penn State listed as a 44.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Penn State had a great season last year as they went 13-3 overall, 8-1 in their conference, and they were one of the best teams in the country. They had a great run in the playoffs too but eventually came up short to Notre Dame in the Semi Finals. Ohio State went on to win the National Championship, but they also lost a lot of their talent and even though they have reloaded nicely, Penn State could be the force in the Big Ten this season. They have one of the best teams in the country with the talent that they have and they have a lot of returning players too. Their defense was great last season and they are once again going to have one of the best defenses in the country. They are also returning their starting QB and brought in some new weapons for the offense to improve. Meanwhile, Nevada had a terrible season last year and will be looking to improve this season. They finished at the bottom of the MWC with their 3-10 record overall, but that was also the 1st year of a new head coach. Now Choate is in his 2nd season there and the team should improve this year, but they still aren't going to be a .500 team with the talent that they have and they definitely don't have the talent that this Penn State team has. Penn State has a lot of expectations this season so they aren't going to take their foot off the gas in this season opener, no matter how bad the opponent is. The best way to place a bet here is on Penn State to cover the spread in this game.
