An NBA inter-conference battle between 13th pace teams.  Wow!  The amount of work needed for a Great Betting Opportunity is heavy.  Neither of these teams are good… still one of them will make you money.  The Los Angeles Lakers have been stinking up the joint.  They have the NBA’s greatest payer of the last 2 decades… and he may be the greatest of all time considering LeBron James is in his 20th season and about to overtake the “all time scorer” title… He has already overtaken the all-time “scorer in the playoffs, scorer in the Finals, scorer on Christmas Day… and he is top five in assists and rebounds across the boards… and he is playing better than any 20 season player ever ever ever has… meaning a few more years and his name will be at the top of list list we measure… when we measure “all time”.  The problem is his team is awful… and the only other non-awful teammate is Anthony Davis and he will be on the injury list for a full month… and knowing AD… he may miss the rest of the season.  The Orlando Magic do not have any players as good as LeBorn James or Anthony Davis…. What they do have is wall to wall first round picks multiple times at every position.  They are loaded with youth, enthusiasm, athleticism… they just do not have much teamwork yet.  The Magic star is SF Paolo Banchero… he is a rookie… most likely ROY.  At every other spot they have potential that is being waited on.  The Great Betting Opportunity here is deciding if the Lakers suck right now… or if the Magic suck right now?... That is it.

The Los Angeles Lakers are on a 4-game losing streak and have lost 7 of their last 10 games.  They lost their last game on Christmas day against the Dallas Mavericks… it was also a loss ATS… to go into the 5-game losing streak ATS.  The Lakers stink to high heaven and beyond.  No matter how many times the tragically bad Lakers announcer Stu Lantz declares that Austin Reeves ``could be the difference”... The team still has no quality player outside of LeBron, AD, and sometimes Russell Westbrook.  The rest of the roster is trash that other teams would flush to the G-League.  In the Christmas Day loss LeBron James had 38 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Reaves and Westbrook landed 16 and 17 points… And they lost to the superior play of a .500 Dallas team that got 32, 9, and 9 from Luka Doncic.

The Orlando Magic are on a 2-game winning streak and have won EIGHT of their last TEN games!!  They have found a new gear.  Maybe all the kids growing together will grow into something NICE.  Only problem is that they may be growing themselves out of the NBA Draft Lottery… which would ultimately set them back.  There is of course the trade deadline on the way?... It would be nice to get rid of ½ a dozen players to ensure that draft lottery future.  In their last game they beat the San Antonio Spurs 133-113… Cole Antony had 23, Franz Wagner had 21, Paolo Bachero had 18, Bol Bol had 14, and Mo Wagner had 17… they got scoring from everyone on the floor.  It was nice but it came against the awful Spurs.

Los Angeles Lakers VS Orlando Magic Prediction

Our prediction for Tuesday, December 27th is…. Magic 119 - Lakers 111

Bet on the Magic.  The Lakers are still missing Anthony Davis and as long as that goes on they will be losing games.  LeBron may be able to AMAZE these Orlando kids for the first half… but when the game becomes a grind?... Bol Bol and Paolo Banchero will have free run of the basket.

Players To Watch

Lakers: PF LeBorn James.  Watch closely and notice how even the greatest of the last 2 decades and maybe the greatest of all time… still needs a team around him.  They all do.  That is the lesson we get from watching a still very very effective LeBron james.

Magic: SF Paolo Bachero.  It is matchups like these… the ones where the other team is incapable of playing defense that Paolo MUST shine brightly in.  This is how a rookie gets ROY.  If he doesn’t capitalize on these moments then the leaves himself open to Indiana’s Ben Mathurin overtaking him for the award.

Coaches

Lakers: Darvin “this sucks” Ham
Magic: Jamahl “that’s a funny spelled name” Mosley
