Missouri vs Miami Prediction

The current betting odds have Missouri listed as a 1.5 point underdog in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Missouri has looked good in their games this season with their 20-12 record overall and their 10-8 conference record which had them in the top half of the SEC. They have looked terrible in their neutral site games this year though, going 0-3. Meanwhile, Miami has looked really good in their games this season with their 25-8 record overall and their 13-5 conference record which had them right near the top of the ACC. They haven't looked that good in their neutral site games though, going 2-3. Miami has looked good lately as they are 3-2 in their last 5 games and they have been a top team in the ACC all year, but they didn't have the best schedule either. They completely avoided playing Duke at all this season who is the best team in the ACC and they were embarrassed in the ACC Tournament too, getting crushed by Virginia in their last one. Mizzou hasn't looked great lately as they are 2-3 in their last 5 games and coming off a bad loss themselves, losing to Kentucky in the SEC Tournament, but they have also picked up some really good wins this season and might have the best win in the nation at Florida. The SEC wasn't as good at the top this year as it has been in years past, but it is still a really deep conference with a lot of good teams and is a lot deeper than the ACC which has been really top heavy, and the teams at the top aren't even that good either. Missouri is also going to have a big edge here since this is almost like a home game for them, so look for them to bring their best effort against a Miami team that hasn't been tested by many good teams this season, breezing through their own conference with a weaker schedule. The best way to place a bet here is on Missouri to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

“Obviously, Kentucky had a home-court advantage here in the conference tournament, but their fans showed up, creating an environment where we had to kind of get through the little wrinkles that stopped us, turnovers being the most important. And once we got settled into the game, I thought we were able to get some things going. Shawn Phillips' intensity, Mark Mitchell's intensity, T.O. Barrett's intensity is what led us. Would love to have some possessions back, but you can't. And obviously, here we are. We'll be waiting our fate to see what the selection committee says." - Dennis Gates after his team’s loss against Kentucky in the SEC Tournament.

"They could have put us on the moon. We're still going to show up. Do what we do. For us, it didn't really matter. We won eight road games. This is a road game. It's no different and we'll go business as usual." - Jai Lucas on his team playing the 1st game of the NCAA Tournament in St Louis.
