Mississippi vs Vanderbilt Prediction

The current betting odds have Ole Miss listed as a 9.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Ole Miss has looked good in their games this season with their 3-1 record overall and their 1-1 conference record which has them right in the middle of the SEC. They haven't been a great road team though with their 0-1 road record this year. Meanwhile, Vanderbilt has looked good in their games this season with their 3-2 record overall, but their 0-2 conference record has them right near the bottom of the SEC. They have looked a lot better on their home field though with their 3-0 home record this season. Vanderbilt is coming off a great season going 10-2, but a lot of that magic came with Diego Pavia and that seems to be gone now. They are coming off a 38-14 loss to Georgia in their last one and they have had a lot of trouble against some mediocre opponents in their wins this season. Their offense has had trouble against good defenses and they really aren't going to re-create what they had last season. Ole Miss is in a similar boat, being the remnants of the team that Lane Kiffin built, but they still have a lot of talent to get them through this season along with one of the best QB's in the nation. The defense hasn't looked great this year, but they have had more than a week off to fix that, coming out of their bye week after losing their last game to Florida 52-28. The defense will look better against this weaker Vandy offense and Ole Miss also has a really good offense that is going to put up a ton of points here and will be able to run away with this game. Look for Ole Miss to bounce back coming out of their bye week and beat up on a Vanderbilt team that is heading right back to the bottom of the SEC. The best way to place a bet here is on Ole Miss to cover the spread in this game.
