Mississippi vs Kentucky Prediction
The current betting odds have Ole Miss listed as a 10 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Ole Miss is 1-0 overall and they looked great in their season opener. They did play a lesser opponent at home, beating Georgia State 63-7, but they still beat a team from the FBS in an embarrassing fashion. The defense looked good, only giving up the 1 touchdown, and the offense looked like they picked up right where they left off last season even though Dart is no longer there. Simmons had a solid game and he has a ton of talent in the offense to work with so they are going to put up points in this one. Meanwhile, Kentucky is 1-0 overall after winning their season opener, but they didn't look good in that win. They struggled to beat Toledo 24-16 at home and their offense looked terrible at times. They were able to run the ball well, but they had no passing game with Zach Calzada and it isn't going to get any better in this game against a better defense. The Kentucky defense looked really good in that game and they pretty much won the game for Kentucky so they will get some stops here and make it harder for Ole Miss to score, but they will likely be on the field a lot due to that offense and that will allow Ole Miss to pull away throughout the game. Kentucky's defense will only keep them in this game for so long, but eventually the offense just won't be able to keep up with Ole Miss. The best way to place a bet here is on Ole Miss to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes
“I was really pleased with the offensive balance. We’ve got things to work on too. We had the two turnovers, and we’ve got to tackle better. Obviously, we’ve got a huge challenge next week.” - Lane Kiffin after his team’s win against GA State in their last game.
"I don’t think (the players) are satisfied, but we will take the victory at any time. I thought we did some good things early in the game in particular. Defense was playing very good. Offensively, I felt like we were going to get in a rhythm and we hurt ourselves. There’s things that we did to shoot ourselves in the foot that we have to get corrected, but we overcame those bad plays and won the game.” - Mark Stoops after his team’s win against Toledo in their last game.
