Minnesota vs Ohio State Prediction

The current betting odds have Ohio State listed as a 23.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Ohio State has looked great in their games this season with their 4-0 record overall and their 1-0 conference record which has them right near the top of the Big Ten. They won the National Championship last season and they are once again showing why they are one of the best teams in the nation this season too. They have some good wins under their belt like their win over Texas and they are off a tough road win against Washington in their last one, winning 24-6. Their offense hasn't been at its best all season, but they haven't needed to do too much since they have one of the best defenses in the nation. They also have a ton of talent on offense still and that talent will show up when they need it. Meanwhile, Minnesota has looked good in their games this season with their 3-1 record overall and their 1-0 conference record which has them higher in the Big Ten. They are off a big home win over Rutgers in their last one, but they struggled a lot in that game. Their defense didn't look great against that Rutgers offense and they were also trailing for most of that game. They had a really good effort to come back and win at home, but now they are going on the road against the best team in the nation and this won't be a game where they can get back up like that. Minnesota doesn't have a great offense either so they are going to struggle to even move the ball on this Ohio State defense, and Ohio State will be able to pull away throughout the game. The best way to place a bet here is on Ohio State to cover the spread in this game.

Minnesota Ohio State Prediction:  Our NCAAF Pick for Saturday, October 4, 2025 (7:30 pm ET start time) is Ohio State 45 Minnesota 17.

Notable Quotes

“They just told me they were going to put it in my hands and we’re going to win this game. That puts a lot of confidence in the offense and in me, knowing that they’re putting it on me and our guys to go make plays, and we went and did it.” - Drake Lindsay after their win against Rutgers in their last game.

“It’s a great reference point to come into a stadium like this. It was great for our guys to see some red here. Anytime you take a young team on the road, it’s great to have familiar faces on the road, and they had a presence. And that was great.” - Ryan Day after his team’s win against Washington in their last game.
