LSU vs Mississippi Prediction

The current betting odds have LSU listed as a 1.5 point underdog in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. LSU has looked great in their games this season with their 4-0 record overall and they are ranked like one of the best teams in the nation too. They have a good win over Clemson in their season opener which doesn't look as good now, but they also have a tough conference win over Florida. They definitely haven't had an easy schedule to open up the season so they have already been tested for this game. Their offense hasn't looked great at times, but they still have a ton of talent that will have success against this Ole Miss defense that isn't great. The defense for LSU has also been great in every game this year and they will have a big say in what happens here. Meanwhile, Ole Miss has looked great in their games this season with their 4-0 record overall and their 2-0 conference record which has them right at the top of the SEC. Now they are off a crushing win over Tulane in their last one, but their 2 wins in the SEC were against some of the bottom half teams so this is going to be a big step up in talent here. Ole Miss has a great offense and they usually do under Lane Kiffin, but they still have a big issue defensively and that is what will get them into trouble here. LSU isn't going to run into the problems on offense that Ole Miss is going to run into against this LSU defense that is one of the best in the SEC. The best way to place a bet here is on LSU to cover the spread in this game.
