LSU vs Auburn Prediction

The current betting odds have LSU listed as an 8.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. LSU has looked good in their games this season with their 5-2 record overall and their 2-2 conference record which has them right in the middle of the SEC. They have been a terrible road team though with their 0-2 road record this year. Meanwhile, Auburn has looked good in their games this season with their 4-2 record overall and their 2-2 conference record which has them right in the middle of the SEC. They have looked good on their home field too with their 2-1 home record this season. Auburn hasn't been a great team in this 1st year of a new head coach as they are still trying to find their way, but they haven't been a bad team either. Their defense has looked really good, but their offense has also been really bad at times and now they are coming off a huge win. They are coming off a 27-24 road win over Georgia in their last one and that is their biggest win in recent years, but this is a really tough situation for them coming off the high of that huge win. LSU has had trouble in road games this season, but 1 of those was a 1 point loss in OT to Kentucky and the other was an emotional game against Ole Miss, both of those being top 15 teams too. They are coming off a 31-0 win over Mississippi State in their last one and that was a nice bounce back win against one of the worst programs in the conference who was also missing their 2 best players. LSU is going to be really focused on this game after Auburn upset Georgia, so they won't be overlooking them here and this is a terrible situation for Auburn off of that win. Look for LSU to roll over Auburn and get their 1st road win of the year. The best way to place a bet here is on LSU to cover the spread in this game.
