Kentucky vs Georgia Prediction

The current betting odds have Georgia listed as a 20.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Georgia has looked good in their games this season with their 3-1 record overall, but their 1-1 conference record has them right in the middle of the SEC. They won a big road game against Tennessee in OT and needed a comeback just to win that game, but now they are off their first loss of the season last week. They lost at home to Alabama 24-21 and even though the score was close in the end, the game really wasn't. Alabama was leading the whole way and they have now put themselves in the driver seat of the SEC. Georgia is still ranked inside the top 25 with the talent they have though and they will be looking to take out their frustrations from that loss with a big bounce back win at home against a weaker opponent. Meanwhile, Kentucky hasn't looked good in their games this season with their 2-2 record overall and their 0-2 conference record which has them right near the bottom of the SEC. They look like one of the worst teams in the SEC this year and they have no offense at all. They are off a 35-31 loss in their last one to a struggling South Carolina team and now they are on the road again in a bad situation with one of the best teams in the conference looking to bounce back. This is a get right game at home for Georgia to gain some momentum again. The best way to place a bet here is on Georgia to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

“We had to be precise. We had to execute in critical moments. We’re not doing that right now on either side of the ball. And that’s a little bit frustrating to me and our games are going to be very close. Our margin for error is not very big. We have to be better in those situations.” - Mark Stoops after his team’s loss against South Carolina in their last game.

“That play has been really successful for us. We missed a block that you’ve got to make and they ran through it and made a really good stop.” - Kirby Smart after his team’s loss against Alabama in their last game.
