Meanwhile, the Texans had another good season going 10-7 and winning the AFC South, but they also fell short in the playoffs. They had a really good defense last season and that defense is going to be good again with the talent they have, but the offense did have some issues. They are going to be healthier to start the season, but Stroud didn't have a great season last year after putting up a great rookie year, and he didn't have much of an offensive line either. That is going to be an issue in this game with the Rams defense looking to get after Stroud. DeMeco Ryans has done wonders with the Texans in his first 2 seasons coaching, but the Rams still have the better coach along with the more reliable offense and that gives them the edge at home in this season opener. The best way to place a bet here is on the Rams to cover the spread in this game.
