Georgia vs Mississippi Prediction

The current betting odds have Georgia listed as a 3.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Georgia has looked great in their games this season with their 7-1 record overall and their 5-1 conference record which has them right at the top of the SEC. They have been a good road team too with their 2-0 road record this year. Meanwhile, Ole Miss has looked good in their games this season with their 6-2 record overall and their 4-2 conference record which has them right near the top of the SEC. They have looked great on their home field too with their 4-0 home record this season. Ole Miss is coming off a 45-15 win over Auburn in their last one and they have looked like a completely different team in their home games this year. They have one of the best offenses in the nation with one of the best QB's, but their defense has still been a big issue. They have been putting up a ton of points, but they have also been giving up a ton of points and their bad defense is going to be a big factor here. Georgia has looked like one of the best teams in the nation all season and they are coming off a 27-8 win over Florida. They have a really good offense that can put up points, but they also have a great defense that opposing teams have had trouble against. Florida couldn't get anything going in that last game and Ole Miss will find themselves in a similar situation here. Georgia is also going to be really motivated to get their revenge since Ole Miss did kick them out of the CFP last year. Look for Georgia to really make a statement here as the best team in the SEC and pick up their best win of the year on the road against a good Ole Miss team. The best way to place a bet here is on Georgia to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

“I’ll tell you, if you can’t run the ball and they struggled to run it, it makes you one-dimensional. And then everybody gets to feast and rush the passer. And that was a big play in the game. It was a huge momentum play because it’s really a 14-point swing.” - Kirby Smart after his team’s win against Florida in their last game.

“How our offense played affected their plan and what they were able to do. Our offense affected the things they were trying to do because they were having trouble stopping us. It was a combination of early success in the run game, getting them behind the chains, and then the efficiency of our offense.” - Pete Golding after his team’s win against Auburn in their last game.
