Central Michigan vs Michigan Prediction

The current betting odds have Michigan listed as a 27.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Michigan hasn't looked great in their games this season with their 1-1 record overall, but it is still really early in the season and they just lost a tough road game to a solid SEC Opponent. Bryce Young was terrible in that game as he only completed 9 of his 24 passes, but the defense looked good and kept them in the game. As bad as Young looked in that one, that was still his 1st road start ever in college and that wasn't an easy place for him to have it. He did look a lot better at home in week 1 though and he will bounce back with a better game at home against a lesser opponent here. Meanwhile, Central Michigan hasn't looked great in their games this season with their 1-1 record overall. They managed to pick up a nice road win to start the season in week 1, but they barely beat a bad San Jose State team 16-14 and now they are coming off a really bad loss. They lost to Pittsburgh 45-17 and Pitt isn't even a good power 4 team, but they still embarrassed CMU and this game isn't going to go any better for them against a ranked opponent looking to bounce back at home. CMU will struggle to move the ball on the road against this Michigan defense and Michigan's offense is going to look a lot better at home against this defense. The best way to place a bet here is on Michigan to cover the spread in this game.

Central Michigan Michigan Prediction:  Our NCAAF Pick for Saturday, September 13, 2025 (12:00 pm ET start time) is Michigan 38 CMU 7.

Notable Quotes

"I'm as excited as I've been because there's still an element of unknown. I'm still learning a lot about our guys, but I'm really, really encouraged about where we're at, I'm excited about where we're at. I told our players, the issues that we had in the game today, a lot of things are things that we need to coach better and we have a very good history of fixing the things that we need to fix quickly." - Matt Drinkall after his team’s loss against Pitt in their last game.

“It was a big-time game because of two big-time programs, it wasn’t me versus Brent (Venables) or me coming back to Oklahoma. It was really about the players. It always is about the players, always will be about the players. Never going to be about me and my experience or anything.” - Sherrone Moore after his team’s loss against OU in their last game.
