Boise State finished last season with a 12-2 record overall and they had a 7-0 record in their conference games too.  They were 7-0 in their home games, 5-1 in their road games, and they were also 0-1 in their neutral site games last season, but they will be on the road for this season opener. Last season, their offense was averaging 37.3 points scored per game while their defense was allowing an average of 22.6 points per game. Their offense also averaged 466 yards per game while their defense was allowing an average of 363.7 yards per game. Meanwhile, South Florida wasn't a bad team last season as they did make it to a bowl game, but they were very mediocre with their 6-6 record overall. South Florida has returned a lot of their players too so they will be looking to build off last season and they should be improved, but they still don't have the level of talent that a team like Boise State has who went to the CFP last year. South Florida was also giving up more yards to opponents than they were gaining on offense themselves so that is going to make beating Boise State a very tall task here, considering how Boise State has a great offense but also a great defense. The best way to place a bet here is on Boise State to cover the spread in this game.
