The knockout stage of the 2026 Men’s World Cup continues on Fox with the first match in the semifinals. France plays Spain at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, at 3:00 p.m. ET.
Les Bleus advanced to the semifinals with a 2-0 victory against Morocco in their quarterfinals matchup on Thursday. After missing a penalty kick in the first half, Kylian Mbappe redeemed himself by scoring the game’s first goal at the 60th-minute mark in the second half. Ousmane Dembele added their second goal six minutes later. The French have won all six of their World Cup games. They have scored 16 times and only conceded twice.
Spain reached the semifinals with a 2-1 victory against Belgium on Friday. Fabian Ruiz scored the opening goal for La Roja in the 30th minute before Belgium’s Charles De Ketelaere evened it up by scoring 11 minutes later. Mikel Merino scored the game-winner for Spain in the 88th minute of the second half. La Roja has won five of their six games, with a scoreless draw against Cape Verde in their opening match in this tournament being their only blemish. They have scored 11 times in this World Cup, and the goal Belgium scored in the quarterfinals was the first time they conceded in this event.

The National League had lost nine Midsummer Classics in a row before their 3-2 victory in 2023. The Phillies’ Cristopher Sanchez is the starting pitcher for the National League. The WNBA has two games on tap. The Connecticut Sun host the Portland Fire at 11:00 a.m. ET. The Sun have lost two games in a row and three of their last four after a 79-64 loss at home against the Golden State Valkyries as a 6.5-point underdog on Friday. With a 5-18 record, they are in last place in the Eastern Conference, nine games behind the Indiana Fever in first place. The Fire won for the second time in their previous three games with their 102-92 victory on the road in Atlanta against the Dream as a 5.5-point favorite on Saturday. Portland has a 10-13 record, which puts them in sixth place in the Western Conference, trailing the Minnesota Lynx by 7 1/2 games. Connecticut is a 1.5-point favorite with a total of 167.5.
The Washington Mystics travel to Toronto to take on the Tempo at 7:00 p.m. ET. The Mystics won for the third time in their previous four games with an 84-79 victory against the Seattle Storm as a 5.5-point favorite on Sunday. Their 11-10 record puts them in fourth place in the Eastern Conference, two games behind Indiana in first place. The Tempo ended their four-game losing streak with a 93-91 victory at home against the New York Spirit as a 1.5-point favorite two days ago. With a 10-13 record, they are in fifth place in the Eastern Conference, trailing the Fever by four games. Washington is a 1.5-point road favorite with an over/under of 172.5.
