The Kansas City Chiefs are home against the Detroit Lions on NBC at 8:20 PM ET for Sunday Night Football. The Chiefs’ two-game winning streak ended on Monday in a 31-28 upset loss at Jacksonville as a 3.5-point favorite. They have a 2-3 record. After their opening week loss at Green Bay, the Lions have won four games in a row after a 37-24 victory at Cincinnati as a 10.5-point favorite last Sunday. Kansas City is a 2.5-point favorite with an over/under of 52.5.
Major League Baseball begins its best-of-seven league championship round of the playoffs with one game. The Toronto Blue Jays host the Seattle Mariners on Fox at 8:03 p.m. ET. The Blue Jays have won seven of their last eight games after beating the New York Yankees on the road by a 5-2 score on Wednesday to end that series in four games. The Mariners have won three of their last four games after their 3-2 victory at home against Detroit in Game 5 of their ALDS with the Tigers on Friday. Toronto sends out Kevin Gausman to pitch against Seattle’s Bryce Miller. The Blue Jays are a -167 money-line favorite with a total of 7.5.
The National Hockey League has one game on its slate. The New York Rangers host the Washington Capitals at 7:10 p.m. ET. The Rangers rebounded from a 3-0 loss at home against Pittsburgh with a 4-0 victory at Buffalo on Thursday. The Capitals opened their season with a 3-1 loss at home against Boston. New York is a -112 money-line favorite with an over/under of 5.5.
