Baylor vs SMU Prediction

The current betting odds have SMU listed as a 3 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. SMU looked really good in their season opener, beating East Texas A&M 42-13. They were playing against a team from the FCS so they weren't really tested in that game, but the offense was still rolling and picked up right where they left off last season. Offense was their strength last year and they are going to be able to put up some points at home against this Baylor defense that was shredded in week 1. Meanwhile, Baylor is 0-1 this season after losing their season opener to Auburn at home. Auburn was in firm control of that entire game as they were always ahead, forcing Baylor to play catch up the whole time. Their offense was keeping them in that game, but their defense couldn't make a stop when they needed it most and that led to Auburn staying in control of the game. Baylor did show some great signs on offense and that SMU defense isn't great so Baylor will surely put up some points here, but their defense won't be able to keep them in this game and will have them playing catch up against a better offense once again. The best way to place a bet here is on SMU to cover the spread in this game.
