Falcons vs Steelers Prediction
The current betting odds have the Falcons listed as a 3 point underdog in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Falcons didn't have a great season going 8-9, and even though that record had them tied with the division winner, they were still expected to be a lot better and underperformed. Now they have hired a new head coach and things could be looking up with the way Stefanski was able to turn around the Browns for a few years. They don't have a great QB situation with Penix and Tagovailoa, but they still have a ton of talent all over that offense. They have some great pass catchers along with one of the best running backs in the league, so they are going to be able to move the ball in games even if their QB play isn't great. They have a lot of talent on defense too and Stefanski did continuously put out a solid defense for years in Cleveland. Meanwhile, the Steelers had a good season going 10-7 and winning the AFC North, but they were never really a true threat in the playoffs and that led to them parting ways with Mike Tomlin. Now they have hired Mike McCarthy to be reunited with Aaron Rodgers, but Rodgers didn't look great for long stretches during the season last year. The defense still has tons of talent all over, but the offense is definitely lacking. The QB situation is going to be an issue for the Steelers this season as Rodgers doesn't look like he has a lot left in the tank, and the team hasn't had a good run game in years either. This is a big opportunity for the Falcons to make a statement on the road and this is an opponent that Stefanski is very familiar with. The best way to place a bet here is on the Falcons to cover the spread in this game.
