Arkansas vs Tennessee Prediction

The current betting odds have Tennessee listed as a 12.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Tennessee has looked really good in their games this season with their 4-1 record overall, but their 1-1 conference record has them lower in the SEC. They are coming out of their bye week now so they have had extra time to rest for this game, and that bye week came at the perfect time for them, right after 2 conference games in a row that both went to OT. They lost to Georgia in OT in a game that they probably should have won and they beat Mississippi State in OT in their last one in a game that they probably should have lost, but they have had some time to regroup now and with the current state of the SEC, everything is still in front of them. Meanwhile, Arkansas hasn't looked good in their games this season with their 2-3 record overall and their 0-1 conference record which has them right near the bottom of the SEC. They are also coming out of their bye week, but they have been a disaster all season and are in a much worse situation here. They are coming off a 56-13 loss to Notre Dame at home and they fired their head coach right after that loss. Now they go on the road where they are 0-2 this season and they still have one of the worst defenses in the SEC with the points they have been giving up. Tennessee doesn't have the great defense they have had in recent years, but they still have a great offense that can put up a ton of points and they still have the better defense too. The best way to place a bet here is on Tennessee to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

“I get it. If I was a fan I’d be mad at me, too. I’d be frustrated as hell with me. But, as long as I’m the head coach at Arkansas, I’m going to fight my butt off to get the guys out there. How long that is, it’s not, it’s partly up to me because of what we put on the field. But that’s not my call.” - Sam Pittman after Arkansas lost their last game against Notre Dame.

“At the end of the day, it was a win for the good guys. A lot to clean up, but a good road win against a good football team.” - Josh Heupel after his team’s win against Mississippi State in their last game.
